Top 5 getaway far away
destinations
Getting away is deciding to go for a long ride around your
yet undiscovered corners of the world. The excitement will certainly push you
to go for the most extreme points, sometimes at the other end of the planet. Going
to remote destinations is a proof that you got the spirit of adventures in your
blood.
Now as am actually holding a Tunisian passport and trying to
avoid all the nonsense going along with visa procedures the first to think of
is the FEW visa-free destinations that offer themselves to be discovered. I looked
for some of the most excitement and I made you this top 5 list.
PS:
this is not a ranking it’s just a list, so there’s no comparison or anything of
that kind.
1-Niue
Niue is basically a small island that’s under New Zealand
administration. Believe it or not, Niue is -23 behind the motherland on time.
(impressive!) Now to get to this English-speaking tiny piece of land your only
way is the air and from New Zealand through the one and only airline serving
Alofi (Niue’s capital) Air NewZealand. You can do a plenty of things around:
you can hitchhike, go snorkeling, go fishing or simply weaving. There’s a
plenty of caves and forests if you’re interested.
2-Fiji
Other then Niue, Fiji is an independent pacific country. If
you’re flying between Hawaii and New Zealand Fiji will be on your way so give
it a look when passing over. You can get in by boat from Australia or by
aircraft through Fiji Airways from the US & Hong Kong, Korean Air or Air
NewZealand. Once there, you can get around, learn Fijian (although English is
the official language), go skydiving, go kayaking or even golfing. It’s best to
mention that Fiji is a luxury escape for rich people, a paradise for a perfect
honeymoon but it can be done as well with a low budget. Also one needs to stay
safe from casualties that could happen!
3-Kiribati
The republic of Kiribati ,or as pronounced Kiri-bass, is a
south pacific archipelago where you can have a lot of shipwreck diving due to
several past historical events. Citizens of most of the world can get to this
beautiful humid-but-not-hot place with no visa others must apply for one in one
of the diplomatic missions of either the UK or Kiribati. Entry to this piece of
land is guaranteed by air through Fiji Airways from Australia, New Zealand, Japan
or the US. For the history lovers this place holds several remnants of WWII if
not there’s always the beach scenery or the sea life to enjoy. One more thing
stay safe and make sure the water you’re drinking is healthy.
4-Vanuatu
One more archipelago but less remote then the others,
Vanuatu is a land rich in history but also rich in volcanoes. You can get here
by Air Vanuatu from most of the nearby countries. This place is a paradise for photographers
but be careful not to hurt anybody’s privacy or personal space and make sure
you pay the locals the proper respect. One more thing! This is a poor country so
any humanitarian gesture will be appreciated and you can volunteer if you want. Stay
safe and make sure you are immune against the hepatitis A and B when leaving the
capital city Port-Vila.
